Sixth Form Boarding

The Sixth Form Boarding House provides a stepping stone from school to University life. The study bedrooms and areas enable individuals to focus on their studies at this important time, whilst the communal environment offers a supportive and happy atmosphere.

Sixth Form boarding creates the opportunity to:
•  learn to live with others
•  take responsibility
•  become more independent
•  enhance life skills
•  broaden cultural experience.

Boarders’ autonomy and their approach to independent learning is  developed within a safe, supportive framework.

The students can also benefit from extra tuition from boarding staff as well as support and guidance with university applications.

Students have their own kitchen and laundry facilities within the Sixth Form Boarding House. This is of huge benefit in preparing girls for university life.

Staff are always on hand to provide support and reassurance in these important months of study. Students are helped with their time management skills and the structure of boarding life means a good balance between study and relaxation is achieved.

A range of activities is on offer both at weekends and during the week, to enrich the girls' entire school experience.  Students also benefit from access to the superb Art, Music, ICT and Sports facilities on campus, which, in their final academic years, can be an invaluable resource.
