Sixth Form Admissions
Luckley boasts one of the most successful independent Sixth Form Centres in Berkshire, with A-Level results regularly topping the local league tables and ranking highly in the national tables.
Students wishing to join the Sixth Form at Luckley are expected to have achieved at least 5 GCSE passes at grade C or above, including English and Mathematics. It is expected that at least grade B has been obtained at GCSE for a subject to be studied at A-Level. Current and prospective students are invited to apply for Academic Scholarships and Awards in Art, Drama, Sport and Music. The examinations and assessments for these are held in the autumn term prior to admission.
Sixth Form Evening
Prospective students and parents are invited to attend an Introduction to Sixth Form Evening in the autumn term. Please contact Mrs Cope to register your interest in attending this event.
The evening consists of speeches by the Headmistress, Head of Sixth Form and current students, followed by a subject fair, where students can visit individual stands and talk to the specialist teachers.
A Sixth Form Taster Day is held in the autumn term for students to participate in new subject lessons, such as Psychology, Classical Civilisation, Philosophy and Ethics, and Economics and Business Studies. Students are offered informal interviews to discuss subject choices with reference to interests, aptitudes and possible career plans.
Please visit the Sixth Form Section for details of courses.
